In My Next Apartment: Leather Arm Chair

Like many people in their 20's, I have spent the last bit of time living with my parents. While my mom's taste is impeccable, and I have plenty of space, I have been dreaming of my next apartment. In  my mind it's a sunny one-bedroom in a walk up in NY, maybe with an exposed brick wall, a ton of closet space. Basically, I have been imagining the apartment of one of my old roommates - and I am also coveting the leather chair that she has in her living room.

This sparked a serious obsession for me, and I am determined to find a chair that is both dream-worthy, but affordable!  I think that they make a space slightly more masculine, and also add a classic cozy library feel to a living room. These are some of my current inspirations.....

Picnics and Tailgates

It's no secret to anyone around me that I am living and breathing weddings right now. It feels like everyone I know is getting married, or is about to get married, and I currently have 6 weddings on my calendar for next year! (Is it bad karma to hope that more of your friends DON'T get engaged??)

Because of this, I am constantly on the lookout for fun and creative gift ideas. With all of the showers, engagement parties and bachelorettes, there are a crazy amount of gift-giving occasions out there - even before the wedding! I came across this adorable company "Picnic Time" on Rue La La today, and just thought it was so much fun! Especially for all of you in the South, where tailgating for college football games is a sport in itself - and a coed sprot. These baskets and portable grills make it easy to go on a romantic picnic, or fire up the grill in the back of your pick up truck, and are fun for both the bride and the groom!
